About Your Guide

Hi! I'm so glad you're here.

Now, more than ever, we need to make time for ourselves. Time away from the hectic pace life is throwing at us. Time to connect with ourselves, others, and our environment. Time in an awesome space: nature.

I've always loved animals and the outdoors. When the events of 2020 made us stay home and think about life, I traded in my Disney annual pass for a Florida state park pass. Checking off the state parks I visited became a new hobby. I took long walks around my neighborhood and began observing - really observing - the birds, plants, and critters around me. And I devoured any book about natural history, especially those related to Florida springs.

When I was on a trail, on a river, or even just walking in the neighborhood - sans technology - a clarity and sense of calm began to bubble up. My week wasn't the same if I didn't get out into nature for at least a few hours.

I was a better spouse and family member, a more strategic leader, and just a nicer person when I began adding nature to my wellness routine. I felt renewed in my mind, body, and spirit.

As I desired to learn more about the world around us, I became a certified Florida Master Naturalist. With a background in higher education and corporate HR training combined with my knowledge and experience as a certified Personal Trainer, I strived to connect all my passions.

Helping people live better lives by adding nature to their routines.

Less stress. More calm, clarity, and awe.

That's what this course is about.

We’ll start by discussing how nature benefits us mentally, physically, and spiritually. We'll then explore mindfulness practices in nature and ensure that you know how to get the most out of your time outdoors.

Whether you're already a hiker, kayaker, or someone who likes watching the birds out of your window, you will walk away with the necessary knowledge and an action plan to add more nature to your life.

Thanks for joining me. It's an honor to be on this journey with you.
